What is your favorite snack to eat by the pool?

Haha, you’re definitely not alone! I swear everything tastes better when you're poolside—it’s like the sun adds extra flavor. And yep, guilty as charged! A little dip in the pool never stopped me from eating it... just a quick rinse and it’s good to go, right? 😜

By the pool, everything tastes even better! I can assure you that even a simple bag of chips tastes like fine dining when you're relaxing in the sun. I still find a humorous moment from last summer, though, which is ironic. I accidentally dropped the entire fruit into the pool while enjoying a slice of cold watermelon, which is my favorite poolside snack. Naturally I thought, "It's okay, I'll just grab it," but I misjudged the depth, slipped, and almost fell into the water as I reached down.
And so there I was, soaked, holding a soaked chunk of watermelon in my hands like a precious jewel. Since there is no reason to discard perfectly good watermelon, I naturally kept eating it. I did learn, though, that poolside snacks require a bit more concentration. 😂

Definitely chips and guacamole, but I discovered the hard way that it's a dangerous combination when you're close to water.

As I balanced chips, guacamole, and a drink on a float with my little poolside snack tray last summer, I felt very fancy. My nephew fired a rogue cannonball, and then the guac wave appeared. I chased an avocado chunk across the water like it was a gold medal, the chips were soggy, and the float was overturned.

It's still worthwhile. Simply put, perhaps next time it won't be pool-float friendly.

Does everything taste better while you're relaxing by the pool, or is it just me? Aww, Who else has eaten a snack after inadvertently dropping it in the pool? 🙋‍♀️
Haha, it’s not just you! 😄 Everything tastes better by the pool, maybe it's the sunshine or just the relaxed vibes. And yep, I’ve had that "dropped snack" moment... It’s all part of the fun, right? 😅

One time I was just relaxing by the pool with a big plate of nachos. Of course, I got a little too comfortable and bam! one of my favorite chips slipped right out of my hand and fell into the water. Instead of throwing it away, I figured, Eh, I’ll just grab it and eat it. Bad idea.

That chip was floating right next to someone’s sunscreen bottle that had leaked a bit, so when I took a bite, it tasted like salty pool water mixed with coconut sunscreen. Not exactly delicious. I tried to act like it was fine, but my face definitely gave me away.

Now I keep my snacks way farther from the edge or just accept that some snacks might take an accidental swim. 😂

Totally agree, snacks just hit different when you’re lounging by the pool. Dropping food in the water and still eating it is basically a poolside rite of passage at this point. Some things are just too good to waste, even if they take a little swim first.

Totally agree! There’s something about that poolside vibe that makes even the simplest snacks taste gourmet. And yes, I’ve definitely fished out a chip or two and given it a quick rinse before munching poolside snacking comes with its own little risks!

Oh, definitely not just you! Everything tastes better by the pool it’s like the sun and water make even the simplest snacks taste amazing. As for dropping food in the pool, yep, guilty as charged. I once dropped a chip, and after a quick rinse, I went right back to eating it like it was totally fine. The pool water probably added a bit of extra seasoning, right? 😆
