Ha, that sounds like our cat! He’ll find any open spot and curl up, but if there’s a warm spot near the hot tub, it’s like his personal lounging area. We can’t even get him to leave it for dinner!

Haha, that’s hilarious! It’s like your golden retriever found his new personal spa! My cat is the same way with the pool. If I leave the cover off even for a second, she’ll jump right in and start splashing around like she’s the queen of the water. I’m pretty sure she thinks it’s her own private bath, and the rest of us are just guests. You’d think they’d get tired of it, but nope, they just keep coming back for more!I left the spa cover off for 10 minutes, and now our golden retriever climbs in every chance he gets.
Anyone else’s your pets obsessed with their hot tub?

Haha yes, you’re definitely not alone! Our lab did the exact same thing. One day we left the cover off to let it air out, and he took it as a personal invitation. Now anytime the lid’s cracked or we’re out near it, he trots over and stares until someone lifts it. If we’re not quick enough, he tries to help himself in, front paws first like he’s easing into a giant water bowl.
At this point, we’ve had to start putting a towel on the steps just to keep the wet paw prints under control. Gotta say, I never thought I’d have to share spa time with a dog, but here we are.
It’s kind of hilarious though, pets and hot tubs just seem to go together way too well!
