Best way to get rid of stubborn green algae?

Hi all, I’ve been fighting green algae in my pool for weeks now. Brushing helps a little, but it keeps coming back even after shocking the water. What’s the most effective algaecide you’ve used that actually keeps the algae from returning?

I ran into the same problem last summer and what finally worked for me was the AquaDoc Pool Algaecide. It knocked the algae out within a day, and more importantly, it stopped it from coming back. It’s also non-foaming, which I liked because some cheaper ones make the water bubbly. Here’s the one I used: Algaecide.

Seconding this. I switched to this algaecide after trying a couple of generic store brands, and the difference was night and day. My pool stayed clear all summer, and it didn’t mess with the pH balance either. Definitely worth it if you’re tired of scrubbing every few days.
