I’m with you on above-ground pools being a surprisingly solid option. What I didn’t expect when I got mine was how customizable they actually are once you start digging into the setup. You can tweak the base, choose different liners, upgrade the pump, it ends up feeling way more “permanent” than people assume.

And for anyone new to pool care, above-ground setups take a lot of the stress out of maintenance. Mine did get a little cloudy after the first big weekend of use, but a bit of Aquadoc’s clarifier cleared it right up without messing with my chemical levels. Super handy if you’re still dialing things in.

Overall, they’re a nice middle ground, affordable, not too technical, and you don’t have to remodel your whole yard to get one going.
